An excellent book. I always like a memoir, but I have to get the impression that it is honest and that I will learn about a life different from my own. This book delivers on those counts and is very entertaining along the way. Although the author is primarily known as a food writer and restaurant reviewer, she is an excellent wordsmith who could apply that skill to any genre, IMHO. I had never heard of her before reading this book - I don’t really follow celebrities - so maybe I’ll look her up on YouTube or wherever.
