I was initially concerned - mainly by the title - that this book would be rather “out there”; I thought that it might have a strong fantasy element and that is not to my taste. My fears were unfounded.
It is a strong story written in two timelines. It has intriguing details and twists and turns that all come together by the end. Throughout, the reader is kept guessing about various aspects of the story and the characters. By the end, I had guessed a couple of things, but others remained to be revealed.
For a debut novel, in particular, it was a very good read.
